Belarus Launches First-Ever Direct Flight to India, Boosts Tourism and Trade

Belarus and India Cultural Exchanges to Receive a Boost with New Direct Flight

The first-ever direct flight from Belarus, Belarusian Airline Belavia, arrived in India on Saturday, August 12, 2023. The flight landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi at 10:30 AM IST.

The flight was carrying 180 passengers, including a delegation of Belarusian officials. The delegation was led by Andrei Rzheussky, the Belarusian Ambassador to India.

Rzheussky said that the direct flight between Minsk and Delhi is a "historic moment" for Belarus and India. He said that the flight will "strengthen the economic and cultural ties" between the two countries.

India and Belarus Strengthen Ties with Launch of Direct Flight

The direct flight between Minsk and Delhi is scheduled to operate once a week. The flight departs from Minsk on Fridays and arrives in Delhi on Saturdays.

The flight is being operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The flight time between Minsk and Delhi is approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes.

The launch of the direct flight between Minsk and Delhi is a significant development in the relations between Belarus and India. The flight is expected to boost tourism and trade between the two countries. It is also expected to promote cultural exchanges between Belarus and India.
